Item Description
9" tall painted cast aluminum. This is first of three versions of Mickey Mouse cast metal banks made in France by Jules Manil in the mid-1930s and is unmarked. Wing nut on the back holds the two halves together and this is removed in order to retrieve the coins. Coin slot is on top back edge of his head. This is a factory-produced aluminum version but was done in an unusual color scheme w/pink face, brown shirt and red pants. Small indent on Mickey's back. Bank has some lt. paint wear and crazing, 90% remaining. VF overall. Scarce.
