Item Description
Original illustrated cardboard box contains 4.25x5.5" long tin litho toy w/built-in key. Marx, c. 1938. Front/back panels of box feature scene of Ferdinand w/pair of head-butting calves while two other panels feature Ferdinand portrait. Box is evenly aged and has some creases to side panels and end flap tabs. Fine overall. Toy has original fabric flower attachment in mouth and separate die-cut tin litho bee on back. Rubber horns have hardened w/age as is typical and are complete. Toy works and when wound, rapidly spins its wire tail as it shakes about. A few scattered pinpoint paint marks and 1/8" spot of paint off one rear flank but still a very bright and glossy example that works well. VF/Exc.
