Item Description
10.5" tall hollow painted plaster. Has the look and design of a 1940s carnival statue, but c. 1966 as batsymbol on Batman's chest has the yellow oval bkg., which was added in the 1960s. Batman is depicted in dark gray/blue w/fleshtone facial accents. A few scattered paint flakes, most confined to edges of cape. Knee has 1/8x.25" shallow flake. Scattered dust soiling. Fine/VF. We have only offered one other example of this, which was a bank variety in lt. gray/blue w/o detail accents as seen on utility bet and no facial accents. Rare. Eric Renner Collection and the example shown on page 197 of his book "American Disguise."
