Item Description
14" tall solid plaster statue shows topless hula dancer w/braided string skirt posing w/one hand up and curled around her head, the other held at her waist. She has flowers in her hair and a flower lei is draped around her bare breasts. ©1947 J.Y. Jenkins as noted by incised text on back of base, which also notes "Venice, Cal." as place of manufacture. Front of base has incised "Hubba Hubba" text. This statue has much more attention to detail than other such carnival statues, hula girl is depicted w/detailed eyelashes and red nipple accents. Some minor paint rubs could be easily touched up, but statue still displays Exc. Among the nicest pinup-type statues we've offered. Eric Renner Collection.
