Item Description
1.75" with maker name W&H stamped on the tin back covering with a  horizontal pin. No school name but likely from Philadelphia and very few in that series have a date prior to this one. In fact, in Hud Baer's (who we thank for useful information on this series) collection there is only one earlier button showing Little King dated for 1936. On this button there is noticeable stain to the left of the figure, a small mark to the right of his head and faint marks around the legs and his tail which forms the numeral "9". Only example known to us although we offered it in Auction #190 when it realized $280. Very limited distribution. Full gloss. VG.
