Item Description
First is very rare badge issued for the 1909 300th Anniversary of the landing of the Mayflower. The badge front has pair of rwb ribbons accenting silver luster frame holding a photographic paper which pictures the sailing ship with smaller landing boat to the right. The only text is "300 Anniversary." The back of the piece is a brass plate plus horizontal bar pin. Very slightest age tone on the ribbons. Exc. The only example we've seen. Next are a pair of 1898 buttons both naming the "Trans-Mississippi And International Exposition." The first is the official logo on a 7/8" button with W&H back paper. Top edge has pair of barely visible pinpoint dots but the piece is 99.8% Mint. This is in the 7/8" size but there are also versions in 1.25" and 1.75". Next and rare is 1.5" button showing standing figure with a design and letters that spell out the city name "Omaha." The figure is flanked by both Cuban and American flags. No back paper but curl reads "Patent Applied For By James Rust, Omaha, Neb./Manufactured By Haskell" plus their St. Louis address. Button has about 15 tiny tan dots none larger than 1/16". Full gloss. Fine. A rarity.
