Item Description
3.75x6x7/8" deep box contains 1.25x1-5/8" chromed metal case, complete w/original green vinyl-covered leather band. Larger of two cases produced. Dial features full figure image of Captain Marvel holding fighter jet and "Captain Marvel" name. ©1948 Fawcett Publications Pub. Inc. Comes w/original "Marvel Importing Corporation" guarantee paper which is folded as issued and has some heavy scattered aging. Fine. Original foil tag around upper band lists original purchase price of "$5.95" as well as listing "Captain Marvel" name. Complete w/"Tested And Commended By Parents' Magazine"string tag. Insert remains bright and clean w/just some small tears at bottom die-cut slot. Box has some scattered dust soiling, tiny age spotting and trace corner tip wear. Fine overall. Case shows some scattered aging/luster wear, but dial remains totally bright and clean. Luminous material on numerals and hands still glow. Crystal has scattered trace wear, mostly only visible in reflected light. Watch works. VF/Exc. Old store stock.
