Item Description
Two-piece celluloid set marked with a Disney copyright. Japan, 1930s. Figure is 4.25" tall while life preserver is 3" dia. Mickey is filled with granules and serves as a baby rattle. Also fits perfectly into the life preserver and comes with a custom acrylic stand to display the piece. Mickey has all-over scattered traces of wear to the glossy finish with some paint wear but most color remains. Head is pushed down slightly with indentation under neck but not really visible when viewed straight-on, this is noticeable when figure is turned upside-down. Scattered trace of aging to the life preserver. Overall set remains Fine. Very rare. This is the first time we've ever offered this item. This piece is featured on Page 56 of "Mickey Mouse Memorabilia" by Bernard Shine. From the Gary Selmonsky Collection.
