Item Description
Large and impressive 34x37.25" tri-fold cardboard display promotes the 1966 Marx boxed set. Display features photo images of David McCallum as Illya Kuryakin and Robert Vaughn as Napoleon Solo as well as U.N.C.L.E. logo and spy chase scene at upper left. Separate die-cut 15.25" tall image of boy wearing Marx's "The Man From U.N.C.L.E. Counterspy Outfit" below this scene. Vinyl shoulder holster and bagged "Message Coder - Decoder" are mounted to display board behind this die-cut image. A sealed example of the "Weatherproof Trench Coat With Secret Pockets" in attached to board to right of this image. "Squirting Button" feature is packaged w/trench coat as is U.N.C.L.E. tag. Board also features three 10x11" blister cards w/contents of Counterspy Outfit displayed. These include - "Special Equipment" including Handcuffs, Bullet Shooting Lighter, Exploding Cigarette Case, Nerve Spray Camera, Flat Hand Grenade, Ammunition, Walkie Talkie and Bullet Shooting Knife on one card; "All Purpose Gun" on another w/Missile Grenade, Scope, Silencer, Sonic Pistol, Barrel Extension and Stock Extension features; "Disguises" on third card, w/carded "The Man From U.N.C.L.E. Make-Up Kit," Eye Patch, Eye Glasses (2), Badge Case, Mustaches (2), Beard and Full Beard. These disguise pieces appear below images of boys using them. Bottom right features cardboard "U.N.C.L.E. Attache Case" w/carry handle. "Special Equipment" card has 1", 1.5" and 2.5" splits, but all remains as packaged and other cards remain tightly factory sealed. Display shows lt. wear from use w/moderate wear to corners and some scattered color rubs. Fine/VF overall w/contents NM as packaged. Very rare and impressive store display, first we've seen in our 49 years. Lot comes w/boxed example of the Counterspy Outfit that is missing make-up kit, attache case and ammunition w/knife broken as top and missing blade. Box shows scattered color rubs and is Fine/VF.
