Item Description
8" tall version of previous item #1947 w/painted composition head and painted wood body and segmented wood tail. Second largest of four different sized dolls produced by Cameo Doll Co., 1935. Decal on chest w/"Jeep" name. Decal also has 1935 KFS copyright. Decal has some pinpoint edge flakes but remains 98% complete. Doll's head has had restoration performed long ago and exhibits some stabilized crazing. Tightly strung and stands nicely for display. Body remains bright, clean and glossy and is Exc. while restored head has Fine appearance. Great likeness of the mysterious, magical creature from E.C. Segar's "Thimble Theater" comic strip.
