Item Description
This popular painted die-cast set of comic characters of the period was produced 1932-1933. Done in two versions; an articulated and more fully painted set as offered here and in two-color non-articulated versions (see following lot #1230). All in this lot are complete and work well, characters moving up/down as they travel along. They have varying degrees of paint wear as follows 5102 - Uncle Walt and 5104 - Moon Mullins Police Patrol are Exc. 5103 - Smitty and Herby as well as 5106 - Uncle Willie and Aunt Mamie (in "Mamie" rowboat) have lt. wear and are Fine/VF overall. 5101 - Andy Gump "348" car and 5105 - Kayo in back of "KO Ice Company" truck exhibit more moderate wear and are VG/Fine.
