Item Description
c.1986 Comico. First is a 10.5x17" acetate sheet with hand painted promotional image with cast of "Race", "Jonny w/Bandit", "Hadji" and "Dr. Quest" based on a Doug Wildey design. Sericel features design that was also used for a t-shirt image. Next is 13.5x19.25" board with thin acetate sheets made from each piece of four color film to create a progressive proof. Image is the wrap around cover art for issue #7 of the Comico series without any text or other graphics. After Doug Wildey's original art was scanned, film would be produced and this color proof would have been created. Unique and one of kind piece made in the comic printing process. Both items show lt. wear, if any and display Exc. Great pair for framing. From the collection of comics and illustration historian Brian M. Kane.
