Item Description
5-5/8x12x3.5" cardboard box w/photo illustrated lid contained generic canvas shoes by Endicott-Johnson, 1960. Lid features photos of stars from the popular 1959-1962 TV show, including Dwayne Hickman as Dobie, Bob Denver as his beatnik sidekick Maynard G. Krebs and one of Dobie's unattainable "The Many Loves Of Dobie Gillis." Lid has slight inward warp and box has scattered moisture staining, w/moderate amounts to lid, which also has some staining and two corner splits w/2" edge split. VG overall. First we've seen of this box in our 49 years and one of only a few items made for the show. Michael J. Stern Collection.
