Item Description
22x34" blueprints on vellum shows detailed top, side and dimensional views for noted "Motorized Die Cast Thunderbird" dated 1978. Extensive text dealing w/specific body sections, painting details, etc. Blueprint came from Mattel and was sent to "Industrial Design Aff." mold manufacturing company, who also served as the mold maker for Mattel's Hot Wheels line (see design folder #1144). We could not find any actual toy that fit this design so it was most likely not put into production. Blueprints have three vertical folds and one horizontal fold. Each fold shows moderate aging w/scattered fold creases w/center vertical crease having 1.5" strip of moisture staining. Obvious aging to margins w/.5" corner tip off lower left. VG overall.
