Auction #187 - Part II
Item numbers 927 through 2489 in auction 187
Item Description
3.25" tall. Japan, 1930s and has Disney copyright. Attached to base is 1" tall three dimensional Donald figure with long bill. The four sides of the shade feature 3 images of Mickey, one of Donald. The center post holds the mechanical pencil which is attached to Donald's head by a chain. When pencil is in place, it in turn holds the shade in place. Light aging, light wear to images but all remain distinct. VF/Exc. Great design, only the second we've seen and the previous example had a round shade as opposed to this square shade style. From the Gary Selmonsky Collection.
