Item Description
Original paper-covered cardboard box w/illustrated lid label contains near complete boxed set "66/1858." Made in Japan, 1930s and distributed by Borgfeldt. Lid label has inked name at top center, partially removed. Scattered trace of wear/aging but remains tight. Fine/VF. Set consists of pair of bisques in seated position, each 3" tall. These come w/set of furniture made of reed/wood w/fabric covering consisting of two chairs and table. Also has seven-piece bisque tea set consisting of teapot (missing separate lid), creamer, sugar, two cups and two saucers, all contained in original cardboard box insert. One plate has a small chip. Figures have small scattered paint rubs but remain clean. Set overall is VF/Exc. Scarce as boxed.
