Item Description
Pair of tin litho sand pails made in England by Happynak, 1950s. Both bottoms have fish sand molds and raised "Happynak Series - Made In England" text. First is 4" tall (6.25" tall to top of raised metal handle). Bottom edge of pail has small text noting it as "No. 714." Sides feature images of Mickey Mouse w/Donald Duck sand pail and Donald w/toy boat. Even aging w/scattered lt. wear. Mickey's ear has small imprinted "vs" text. Scattered rim/handle wear. Fine overall. Second pail is 4.75" tall (7.75" to top of raised handle). Sides feature portrait image of Mickey and Minnie Mouse, each holding lollipop in hand. Moderate even aging w/slight distortion of shape and scattered wear to interior. Scattered rim/handle wear. VG/Fine. Doug & Pat Wengel Collection and both are actual examples shown in their book "Comic Character Metal Sand Toys."
