Item Description
Each is 1.75". First with a back paper by W&H used only 1898 reads "Dubuque Carnival, Oct. 2 to 7." Masked lady with array of clowns, jesters and a devil along the lower rim. One barely noticeable grey dot at 10 o'clock. Next and also with 1898 W&H paper has masked lady in sailor outfit with text "Topeka's Third Annual Carnival." Third also with W&H paper has text "Milwaukee Carnival, 1898/July 27 To July 3." Button is seen much more frequently in smaller  7/8" size and is rare in this large 1.75" size. Reverse collet has a single tiny indent. Last is with W&H paper although with stain marks all over. However, the celluloid remains essentially Mint and has wonderful scene of a long-horn steer with three clowns perched on the head and horns. Issued for "St. Joseph's Jubilee" with added text "Big Week/Big Parades/Illuminated Streets/September 4-9, 1899." Rare and we've seen only about five of these. All are NM displaying Mint with minor exceptions as noted.
