Item Description
4.5x6" illustrated thin paper envelope contains complete and unused set of 12 stiff paper "Placas De Cromos" sheets, which translates to "sticker plates." 1930s. Envelope notes this is "Series 14" w/text on back explaining this interesting mix of characters. Text mentions "Opera Mundi" which acted as an agent for Disney and Fleischer Studios, syndicating comics to papers throughout western Europe. Each sheet has six different die-cut pictures held together by tabs meant to be separated. Each sheet tells story. Although called "stickers," backs do not have adhesive. Set consists of six different sheets and six duplicates. Featured characters include Mickey and Minnie Mouse, Donald Duck, Horace Horsecollar, Clarabelle Cow, Three Little Pigs, Big Bad Wolf, Betty Boop, Popeye, Olive Oyl, Wimpy and Bluto. All characters are featured on envelope group scene. Envelope is evenly aged and has some handling wear. Fine/VF Sheets are unused and Mint.
