Item Description
When Autry would make rodeo appearances or when he toured to promote his TV series The Gene Autry Show, there would be tie ins with local merchandisers who would run contests and the winner would then be given one of these buttons allowing them to watch the show from a special reserved section. Button reads "I Am The Personal Guest Of Gene Autry." Metal back of the button has a blue metallic color that was added by the original owner. The front of the button has numerous stain marks, small scattered scratches and some tiny traces of blue tone. Other than the staining on the right side the worst damage are a pair of 1/16" and 1/8" cello flakes off the right edge at 2:30. Button retains full gloss and color. Among the rarest of all Autry buttons. Good condition.
