Item Description
First is 7/8" lapel stud c. 1896 with primary text "Teachers Free Trip To Europe." Center text names Philadelphia clothier Snellenburgs. First we've seen. Next is 1.25" for "Homecoming Week" in Phoenixville, Pa. 1910. Back paper by Schlechter, Allentown. Next is 1.25" by Weber Badge, Reading with back paper. Front has great image of a clown for event "Mummers Parade/Jan. 1/1912/Have A Smile With Me At Tamaqua." Light stain along upper extreme edge. Next two buttons are each 1.75". The first with 1898 W&H paper and the second without paper. First reads "The Teteques/Welcome Irem To Williamsport." This was issued by a Shrine fraternal group and has gorgeous scene of woman perched upon a camel accented by palm trees at left, crescent moon and star in gold at top right, and the Pyramids of Giza at the lower right. Second button is without text and has more of a close-up view of the design. This has two tiny dots on extreme edge at 10 o'clock. Third is a repeat of this same design but in the 2-1/8" size and with W&H paper. All six pieces are NM displaying Mint with the two small exceptions as noted. Many rarities.
