Item Description
Standard 2.75x3.5x1-3/8" deep hinged lid Ingersoll box w/gold foil medallion on lid and on underside of lid w/text "Made In Great Britain Ingersoll Ltd. London" contains pocket watch w/2" dia. chromed metal case. Produced in 1933 for distribution in the United Kingdom. Celluloid dial features early, non-traditional image of Mickey Mouse which was quickly revised to the traditional face and thinner body w/issue of the second English Ingersoll. Also has a second hand disc w/three small Mickey images. Dial has lt. even age toning and case shows trace wear. Watch winds and ticks, but needs a basic cleaning to keep time. Case retains near full luster and is VF. Dial is Exc. Comes w/Ingersoll guarantee paper which has been partially filled out in ink and shows scattered handling wear. Box is of the same vintage as the watch and is complete w/satin-lined insert and shows obvious wear w/three lid corners split and moderate lid rubs and two spot of staining. VG. Pocket watch is rare due to the single year small production run.
