Item Description
Pair of 1940s anti-Axis item features comical depictions of Adolf Hitler. First is 5-3/8" long by 5.25" tall plaster skunk w/Hitler's face. This is scarce variety w/flocking to body. Most white remains (though aged w/dust soiling) and some black remains. Fine/VF. Second is 4.5" tall painted plaster figure on 1.5" dia. base. Figure's rear end has tuft of firmly padded brown fabric to serve as pincushion as evidenced by three vintage pins stuck in place (w/some oxidation). Base reverse has incised "Pat. Pend. 1941-CPE" text. Fine/VF. Classic anti-Axis pair. Eric Renner Collection and skunk is the example shown on page 207 of his book "American Disguise."
