Item Description
7.75x10.25x2" deep cardboard box w/illustrated lid for Sport-Wear Hosiery Mills, Inc. socks (Size 7) featuring Superman images (see following lots #2092-2094). ©1949 Nat'l Comics Pub., Inc. Main lid panel feature classic full body image of Superman standing w/hands on hips while lid side panels feature classic images of Superman breaking chains and flying. Lid shows moderate even aging and scattered corner tip/edge wear w/some small surface paper rubs. Fine overall. Some unused box lid labels turned up years ago but this is an all original box as issued and scarce as such. Franco Toscanini Collection.
