Item Description
5.5x6.75" felt patch w/silk screened design like Superman's iconic "S" shield chest emblem w/full body image of Superman w/inset portrait of Tim appearing over the "S". From a series of at least six different patches issued by various stores, this is the largest and most impressive. c. 1940s. Evenly aged w/some scattered age spots and lt. margin wear at left, including two small 1/8" tears w/archival tape repair on reverse. Image remains clean and silk screen design remains distinct and shows little to no wear. Fine overall. Scarce. Franco Toscanini Collection.
