Item Description
Whitman #717, ©1933 Walt Disney. Not only is this the first Mickey Mouse BLB, but it is the original cover version (see second version #1767). This cover features a more primitive looking Mickey and has Walt Disney facsimile signature at lower left. Image of Mickey and Minnie Mouse embracing appears on spine and back cover and this was also altered on the second version. Book features Floyd Gottfredson art. Cover has corner tip wear at top/bottom of spine and some margin wear including small dent along right margin of front cover. Cover overlap has some age spotting to inside top of back cover. Cover is Fine overall. Pages have evenly aged to off-white and are VF. Scarce and classic BLB.
