Item Description
9.75x15.25x1.25" deep cardboard box w/illustrated lid contains Standard Toykraft set No. 40-25. ©1939 WDE. Great lid art on top and all sides features a variety of Disney characters w/Ferdinand the Bull at center. Others include Mickey and Minnie Mouse, Donald Duck, Three Little Pigs and Snow White. Upper right corner of lid has glue repair and lid has slight inward warp resulting in creases at corners, one of which has rusted pin exposed. 1.25" edge split. Other scattered edge wear but top of lid retains vibrant color. Box is VG/Fine. Comes w/3.75x6.25" fold-out w/images/scenes to color. Top sheet repeats lid art while all but two sheets feature Ferdinand. One sheet has been partially (but neatly) painted and sheets are evenly aged. Fine/VF. Contents of set include 20 paint tablets, two tin water dishes, four (of five) crayons and two mismatched paint brushes. Crayons have melted a bit over the years and one is broken in half and all having staining to paper wrappers. Final item is generic cardboard artist's palette. Contents show some aging as well as some wear from use w/scattered paint strokes. VG/Fine. Scarce.
