Item Description
Flying toys from two eras of Superman collectibles. "Flying Superman" toy remains factory sealed on 10"x14" header card. Toy measures 9.25x10.5" and was made by Hasbro, ©1965 NPP. Glider is made of vacuform plastic in shape of Superman body w/Styrofoam cape and is designed to be launched from wooden dowel w/rubber band, sling-shot style. Large split on back to bag, but header remains unpunched. Some lt. scattered wear/aging, but card is o/w VF w/contents Mint as packaged. Italian "Flying Superman" toy comes in illustrated 12x17x2.5" deep cardboard window box w/front flap that has not been folded over. Made in Italy by New Toys, ©1979 DC Comics. 16" tall thin vacuform plastic figure functioned like a glider, a use that resulted in the quick and certain destruction of the toy given its fragile nature. Box shows scattered wear w/some color touch-up to dented front right corner, but window remains firmly intact. Fine/VF. Toy has some lt. wear to cape area but is o/w NM as unused.
