Item Description
7.5x11.5" glazed cotton parade flag in 14.75x18" frame. Unlisted in Threads Of History. The 31 stars in the canton are arranged in a medallion pattern w/a star at each corner and a large star at center. Text reads "For President John Bell. For Vice President, Edward Everett. The Union And The Constitution." Outstanding condition w/only an insignificant .5x.25" area of loss at lower left corner. NM w/strikingly vibrant reds. Furthering this flag's appeal is that the costly  museum grade UV blocking glass and conservation framing are already completed making this piece ready to hang upon delivery. Campaign flags are among the most sought after artifacts by collectors of political Americana and those from 1860 carry an added significance.
