Item Description
These buttons were obtained by giving three of the candy bar wrappers to the store keeper in return for what was known as a 'Wisecrack' button. Near set of 17, each is a 13/16" dia. litho. These are from 1930. 11 have different humorous slogans and the group includes the one pictorial which shows Amos in his taxi. Five others have same image of whale w/different text, including - "Ima Shark, Ima King-Fish, Ima Gold-Fish, Ima Bull-Head, Ima Sardine." Few w/scattered wear are VG-Fine while most are clean and glossy; VF-Exc. Rare to obtain this many at one time.
