3x24" bumper sticker w/text "'Sock It To 'Em,' Bobby!" Light edge toning and vertical fold affecting the first "B" in "Bobby." Exc. Poster is 14x22" on cardboard w/"Washington" union bug at lower left. Image at center features Rev. Phillips and RFK shaking hands. Text at top reads "Vote May 7th For Sen. Robert F. Kennedy For President." At bottom Rev. Phillips, "Philip M. Stern," "Flaxie M. Pinkett" and "Mrs. Victor G. Reuther" are listed as National and Alternate Committeemen and Committeewomen respectively. Additional text at bottom "Representative Community Leaders For D.C. Progress/Vote Yes On All Party Questions/Kennedy C.U.P. Campaign Committee/1145 Connecticut Ave. N.W." Outstanding condition w/minor handling wear. Exc. Rare. Upon the assassination of RFK the Washington D.C. delegation placed Phillips' name in for nomination. While Frederick Douglass received votes during the 1888 Republican National Convention his name was never formally placed in nomination making Rev.
