Item Description
13.75x21-5/8x2.5" deep cardboard box w/illustrated lid contains elaborate Canadian set by M.A. Henry Ltd., Leslie Henry's Canadian division. 1950s. Box shows moderate wear w/tape repairs to two lid corners and one box bottom corner while another corner has split. Scattered staining at upper right corner of lid, which has 5.5" edge split. VG. Set consists of 33" long (to end of metal buckle) leather belt w/pair of 10" deep holster pockets, 5.75" tall leather cuffs, metal spurs w/"Gene Autry" fastener straps and matched pair of Leslie-Henry 10.5" long nickel-plated die-cast cap gun featuring barrels w/engraved scrollwork, raised "Gene Autry - 44" name/designation below revolving cylinders. Guns feature drop down sides and white plastic horsehead grips w/metal "LH" medallions. Both show use, one has wear to small area of cylinder and fires. Fine. Other does not fire, has heavy pitting on hammer. VG. Holster, cuffs, spur straps are all high quality genuine leather decorated w/studs, jewels and choncos featuring attached steerheads. "Gene Autry" name appears on cuffs and belt has attached loops that hold six included wooden bullets. Belt and holsters have some scattered age spotting and several metal studs have some lt. oxidation w/some aging to attached leather straps. Fine. Cuffs also have lt. oxidation to studs but are free of any spotting. Fine. Nice elaborate set.
