10.5x18" linen or linen-like cream color fabric designed like a ballot and used in Pennsylvania. Top reads "National American Fillmore And Donelson Ticket." Below are various "Electors." Former President Fillmore refused to join the new Republican Party and was the 1856 candidate of the American "Know Nothing" Party. See Hake #3014. Four horizontal folds otherwise only minor aging. Exc. Beautiful high grade example of a historic campaign textile.
