Item Description
Large box 12.5x22x4.75" deep titled "The Contemporary Game Chess '72 By R.L.H." Box lid has 3 split corners and many tiny white spots on lid cover. Board and contents are Exc. to Mint. Playing pieces are solid vinyl, one set with 8 elephant pawns in gold, the other with 8 donkey pawns in silver. The remaining 16 pieces represent people. Nixon is the king in both colors but other 14 seem to depict 7 Republicans and 7 Democrats. We can't name all but easily recognizable are - John Erlichman, John Mitchell, Ted Kennedy. Most elaborate Watergate-themed game and only example we've seen.
