Item Description
11.5" tall tin litho toy w/built-in key. Marx. ©1930 Correll - Gosden. These toys were designed both w/and w/o moving eyes. This example has moving eyes. Toy works and upper body rocks side-to-side as he walks forward. Original arms swing freely at sides. Amos has brown face tone and wears taxi driver outfit and hat w/badge reading "Fresh Air Taxi Cab Company Of America Incorpolated [sic]" and "F.A.T.C. Amos Driver" badge on vest, a reference to Fresh Air Taxi Company. Back reads "Original And Genuine Authorized 'Amos' Genuine Facsimile Signature." Scattered paint nicks and wear w/trace oxidation on back and edges of hat. More moderate wear to front of shirt w/scratches and small areas of bare metal. Fine overall. See following item #2581 for matching Andy wind-up.
