Item Description
4.25x7.5x5.75" tall tin litho pull toy by Nifty, 1920s. Copyright Oscar Hitt. Wheeled platform has three different images of Snowflake holding back Swipes on leash as he fights another dog on left/right sides. Platform has two-dimensional figures of Snowflake and Swipes and when pulled by string (missing but easily replaced), wheel axles turn, moving cranks on underside that cause figures to move up and down, back and forth. This function works well. Toy has some scattered wear in the form of small nicks/scratches and Snowflake has more moderate wear to one side of body. Fine/VF. Neat design. One of only a few items made for these short lived comic strip characters. Scarce.
