Item Description
This big 3.5" Cisco Kid button was a last minute consignment and a surprise first we've seen button. Issued between 1947 and 1956 when Duncan Renaldo starred in the syndicated radio series which ran more than 600 episodes. Button rim reads "4PM Mon-Fri 'Cisco Kid' On WIP 610KC-Mrs. Wagner's Pies." Button may show small mark on right side that was surface dirt now removed. The only actual defect is a 1/16" dot indent in the celluloid at the center of the button, easily seen, but not removing any celluloid along with just some very minimal and typical surface wear seen in reflected light. Brilliant color and high gloss. The rarity of this button is indicated by the fact that Hake's Americana originated in Philadelphia in the 1960s and then moved only 90 miles west for our following 4-1/2 decades. Only example we've seen. Exc.
