Item Description
9.5" long tin litho delivery motorcycle w/built-in key, detailed engine compartment, delivery driver in uniform and is complete w/headlight bulb as well as taillight bulb, which are often missing. The first of five versions Marx made during the 1930s, toy is marked "Speed Boy 4" on both sides of tanks. Rear of the open style delivery body has "Speed Boy Delivery" name. This was the first and only version that featured battery-operated electric headlight and taillight. Battery box is clean and both bulbs light. Toy has some scattered paint wear in the form of small nicks/scratches but retains strong color. Wind-up work. VF/Exc. example of this scarce toy.
