Item Description
Original illustrated cardboard box contains 7.5" long nickel-plated cast iron cap gun w/ivory plastic horsehead grips w/red plastic jewels. J. & E. Stevens Co. 1940. Box came in several varieties, this example pictures Buffalo Bill on horse. Box text includes "50 Shot - Colored Tenite Embossed Grip." Repeat image/text on both sides. Box is missing one inner flap and has tape repair to moderately worn end flap. Scattered aging and wear w/large puncture to side panel of box. Good/VG. Gun has raised "Buffalo Bill" name on both sides of gun frame behind bullet chamber. Unfired and NM, old store stock.
