Item Description
The first Disney Studio Christmas card was printed in 1930. This is the second card from 1931. 5x7.5" on textured paper. Front reads "Yoo Hoo!" w/small image of snow-covered house. Card opens to reveal "A Merry Christmas And A Happy New Year" text. This was the card variety that Walt Disney sent out to friends and acquaintances. A second text variety was also printed reading "The Season's Greetings From The Walt Disney Studio - Mickey Mouse & Silly Symphony Cartoons." Card interior features images of holly leaves and berries around a candle along w/a superb full color tipped-in paper sheet. This is 4x5.5" and depicts a nighttime Christmas caroling scene featuring Mickey and Minnie Mouse, Pluto, Horace Horsecollar and Clarabelle Cow. Card is in high grade, NM condition and is as nice as these come. Very rare, we have only offered a few 1931 cards in 50 years. Tom Tumbusch Collection/Tomart Archives.
