Item Description
First is rarely seen die-cut tin early 1900s litho button for Wells Mastiff Shoes. 1-7/16" wide. Couple paint flakes. Fine. Next is 1.25" beautiful design for "Battle Axe Shoes" with W&H paper used 1900-1912. Mint. Next is 7/8" with W&H paper c. 1900 which includes name of San Francisco shoe maker. Front promotes the "Phit-U $4.00 Shoe" and shows two donkeys pulling the company carriage. Rare and Mint. Last is "Cobbler's Enemy" with W&H paper from 1900-1912. This button was used for a Massachusetts city (Lynn or Brockton) celebration that touted the city's modern shoe industry, threatening the existence of cobblers. NM.
