Item Description
22x28" cardboard poster advertising a "Torchlight Procession" in Newport, NH on Nov. 2, 1936. Also advertises a "Big Tea Party Town Hall" that occurred after the parade and featured bands and "Free Dancing Until 1:00AM." Two small elephant graphics w/one at right reading "GOP" and at left/"Landon/Bridges/Tobby/Murphy." Clear tape around edges on reverse and four small archival tape repairs including: stabilizing of lower right corner; a .75" section affecting the "T" in "Party" at bottom; a 1/8" dia spot above "Claremont" left of center and stabilizing the .5x1.75" hole at upper right affecting the "T" in "Party" at top right. Three edge tears most notably a 4" horizontal just above center on right side. Pin holes and small losses at lower right and left corner. Good. Despite condition this remains a bold poster which could benefit from a trip to a paper conservator.
