5-1/8x8-1/2" framed w/2.5x5.5" sight. 1844. This variant features the more youthful portrait of Clay at center. Perched eagle at top has ribbon in its beak reading "His Country's Friend In The Hour Of Danger." Additional text reads "People's Choice/Protector Of American Industry." Horizontal crease at bottom fourth affecting graphic of Lady Liberty. Toning along top edge and two faint less than .25" spots at bottom right and left in cream margin. Displays Fine. Professionally framed to museum standards using TruVue glass that blocks 95% of UV rays.
