Item Description
Original envelope marked "Here Is Your Mello-Wheat Treasure Hunt Game" contains rare premium issued in 1934 in conjunction w/the release of the film adaptation of Robert Louis Stevenson's famous 1883 novel "Treasure Island." The film starred Jackie Cooper and Wallace Beery. Envelope has been hand-addressed and has even moderate aging and some scattered handling wear. Fine overall. Folded 12x12" paper map serves as gameboard for "The Game Of Jim Hawkins On Treasure Island" and features island map w/great graphics and illustrations of scenes from the film. Back has panel mentioning both Cooper and Mello-Wheat cereal, which issued this map/game as a contest prize. Bright and clean. Exc. Rare and first we've seen in our 50 years.
