Item Description
Each 2.75". First combines ad for famous California "Cawston Ostrich Farm" with 1912 Los Angeles "Shriners Convention" thus the ostrich posed before a grove of orange trees is wearing a fez. Pyramids of Giza below and top names local LA lodge "Al Malaikah". Silvering 98%. NM displaying Mint. Second is real photo, elaborately hand color tinted, of woman in robe and Arabian headdress. Perhaps inspired by Rudolph Valentino's most famous film "The Sheik" released in 1921. Silvering is intact but cloudy and with dark border. Cello is Exc. and displays Mint. Both are very limited issues.
