Item Description
Sizes 1.25" to 2.25" with or without back papers as issued. Earliest is for Apple Carnival 1897 in Leavenworth. Next shows 30 women with rifles and one man. "Boyd's Girl Cadets" from Topeka were founded by Major Horatio Boyd and claimed to be the only uniformed and regularly armed company of girls in the U.S. They were famous in 1899, (back paper used 1898-1900) for making a huge American flag quilt. Couple very faint gray marks on white area. Still VF. Next are two for Jackson  Fair, 1905, followed by 1907 for Blue Rapids "Old Settlers' Reunion". In larger size is "Guard" button for 1925 Topeka "Free Fair", one with sunflower for "Guest/Carswell/Good Will/Party/Kansas City" and another sunflower for Wichita 1938. All Exc. to Mint except as noted. Many rarities.
