Item Description
11x14" cardboard poster. Slogan reads "Standing Together For Your Best Interest" w/additional text at bottom "Vote Straight Republican Tuesday November 2, 1954." Features floating head portraits of Eisenhower and Lloyd Wood. A tiny 1/8" corner bend at lower right, a less than 1/4" indentation at extreme left edge about a fourth of the way from bottom and reverse has .25" wide area of surface paper lift from tape used in display that goes around the inner edge. VF. Tape marks on reverse do not affect display which remains Exc. Wood was defeated by Democrat George Leader in part due to poor TV appearances by Wood who failed to capture the new medium's potential during the first gubernatorial contest where the majority of voters had televisions in state history.
