Marvel. Lot of three includes #47 (Aug. 1968), #49 (Oct. 1968) and #52 (Jan. 1969). Gary Friedrich and Arnold Drake stories w/covers by Don Heck, Frank Giacoia, Jim Steranko, Marie Severin and Joe Sinnott. Heck, Werner Roth, John Tartaglione and John Verpoorten art. Lot includes first appearances of Lorna Dane (who later becomes Polaris), Mesmero and first full appearance of Erik the Red (Scott Summers) as well as Human Torch cameo and appearances by Magneto, Polaris. Origin of The Beast. All are 7.5 VF-. Issue #47 has white pages while other have off-white to white pages.
