Item Description
Exceptionally large ring pair offered in conjunction with Roy Rogers, but promoted in the Sunday comic ads by his early movies and comic book partner Gabby Hayes. For unknown reason, this 1951 Quaker premium was issued in two varieties, one with brass cannon barrel and one with aluminum. Each base shows the Quaker Man on one side and other shows cannon mouth with many small ovals flying above to symbolize the ad phrase " Quaker puffed wheat and rice shot from guns". Small wear traces on each, but both with vast majority of luster and working spring loaded plungers that will launch into the air any small object that fits into the cannon barrel. Both VF.
