Great image of Mickey Mouse in Boy Scout uniform w/canteen over one shoulder, holding his hat in one hand, the other hand raised to his forehead in salute. This lamp was also produced in a version w/a flat back, though this is full three-dimensional version w/original felt covering on underside and full La Mode paper label. Lamp is old store stock, w/original power cord still wrapped as issued. Lamp works. Scattered wear w/a couple small nicks to base and some scattered dust soiling. VF/Exc. overall. Comes w/original illustrated lamp shade by Doris Lamp Shade Co. ©1938 WDE. Shade depicts Mickey in clown outfit w/his three nephews watching as Donald Duck is tossed from rocking horse. Shade has lt. even aging and a .5" line puncture at bottom, not affecting image. Shade is evenly aged and VF overall. This lamp and shade combination was shown in the 1938 La Mode catalog page pictorial on page 208 of the Munsey Disneyana book. Scarce.
